Website visits and Website enhancements

New interactive features are enhancing the experience available on the Imago website.

Website traffic is one of our key measures of success.  The more people visit our site, the more it demonstrates interest in Imago, and leads directly to referrals to workshops and therapy.

The average visits have increased from:

2006   - 14044 Unique visitors per month

2007 -   15091 per month

2008 -   17503 per month - a 25% increase in two years

We are now seeing around 16,000 a month - with some decrease in activity which we expect is due to the economic turndown.

We have made two major upgrades to the website this year.  The first was to rebuild the website to provide a smoother flow, and improved searching.

The second was to add a whole new section with online interactive tools, which provide couples with an easy and fun introduction to Imago.   You can visit this page, and try the tools out at www.gettingtheloveyouwant.com/couples/interactive.

In late 2009 we plan to launch a major enhancement to the referral system which will enable significantly more information to be made available by each therapist - including personal statements, details of insurance carried, etc:  This system is currently in place, and ready to be launched.

In addition we will be running a 10 month trial with YourTango magazine - which attracts 1.3 million visitors a month.  They are adding a service called 'Pro-Connect" which is an online directory of professionals.  We expect this to bring much more referral traffic to our members, and will be launched in November 2009

Spring 2006 shows particularly intense activity around Harville Hendrix's appearance on the Oprah show.  During 2007 web traffic has remained strong, but without much increase.

Website searches

A critical measure is how many visitors to our website perform searches. 

During September 07 there were approximately 5,300 searches for therapists, and a similar number for workshop presenters.  This number has remained fairly steady and we average around 128,000 searches per year.

Website enhancements

During 2007 we made a significant upgrade to our main website www.GettingTheLoveYouWant.com

The purpose of the change was to create a more portal related site, where visitors could more easily find the broad range of services on offer. 

At the same time we introduced a number of web-based educational tools - including a "dialogue game" and an animation demonstrating dialogue.
