Keynote Address: Couples Therapy in the 21st Century: A New Era

The field of couple interventions is changing dramatically. The new science of love offers us a coherent map to the territory of love and loving.  The couple therapist now has the resources to systematically shape the neural duet that is the essence of love. The pivotal moments that define a relationship as a secure or insecure bond can be identified and restructured in a couple sessions.  Once a safe haven is established, key processes such as the forgiveness of injuries can be addressed and individual growth and resilience fostered.

Clinical Update- Special Featured Speaker: Dennis Stoica

Saturday, October 24th, 9am-12pm

Dennis Stoica, President of California Healthy Marriage Coalition, will examine the natural partnership of marriage education and marital therapy. Imago Therapists are marriage educators already; it is an important function of therapy. Learn how to expand this part of the therapeutic process and increase your effectiveness with couples.
