SMALL GROUP COMMUNOLOGUE SESSIONS: Strategic Visioning: Where do we see Global Committee, Global Summits in five years?

1. Structure: Global Community of local regions – Summit-- Board and faculty – for connection and information

2. Global Committee/Network of regions:

• We are We – vision and not yet the reality. Being, connection, belonging. We are all in service in our own way. Sharing expertise and knowledge. We have each other’s backs!

• Research and expertise should not narrow possibilities. It should be a way of being so available to all. The uniqueness comes from being available to all. Envision a clear and transparent Global Community that can hold this and which is ever growing and evolving.

3. Global Summit:

• Spend more time with regions in need, which will request time in advance

• Regions will represent their country through a combination of fun and serious information and a written report

• Global Summit is the place to connect the competencies grown through differentiation and accept and learn though one organization

• Global Summit: need people from more countries – Spanish speakers, Moslems; also need more financial support; need way to implement our visions, way to be accountable (projects, reports, etc.)

• one beautiful location, connection, sacred space, long-distance friends, creativity, fun, appreciative inquiry, webinars

• Celebrate the connection and the difficulties (so don’t go underneath)

4. General vision statements:

• Desire for clear, straight structure for training and qualifications.

• Vision for spreading Imago: get into Universities; get documentary into schools for teachers; teach communologue to political leaders internationally.

• Vision re: training: more trainers (concern about limiting per country); bring in younger therapists straight from school; risk of losing creative trainers by being legalistic re: eligibility

• Two O’s (Oprah and Orli) spreading Imago – Oprah, to third world countries (non-white, minorities); Orli, Communologue, to whole global community

• We trust the process. We honor manifested vision. We value the importance of differentiation to allow for integration so we don’t limit ourselves/each other. We honor separate knowing to support connected knowing which will implement spreading Imago. We appreciate vital feedback about research and education. We love the positive energy, love and power in the room.

5. In five years, we have

• Regions mentoring regions
• Therapists mentoring therapists
• Research to support Imago’s effectiveness
• Imago Journal
• Publications re: Imago in other professional journals
• An extensive curriculum (advanced courses beyond BCT)
• Developed connections to other agencies

6. We want to honor the elders. We want to honor IRI. We want to know Tim, is there more? We want to implement action steps to support our earlier goals. We want diversity of ethnicity and race. We want more scholarships to bring others to Global Summit. We believe that Imago therapists keep up their competence because we experience ourselves as members of a community of PRAXIS. We desire a clear and transparent organizational structure. We walk the walk and talk the talk o all levels of the organization.
